MOUNT DIABLO MUDO

Summit: 5350 meter
Schwierigkeit: Easy (F)
Duration expedition: 1 day from Susucocha

Short description:
Diablo Mudo is not usually climbed from Huaraz but done additionally to the Huayhuash Circuit Trek.
Diablo Mudo is found between Huayllapa and Jahuacocha and the attack takes places from the campsite 200 meter below Susucocha. You will start hiking towards the glacier at about 3 AM and reach the summit approx. 5-6 hours later. From the summit you do not return the same way, instead you descend on the other side into the Rasac Valley and walk towards Jahuacocha where you will meet up with the donkey drivers, cook and maybe the rest of the group that didn't go to the mountain and hiked with the cook today.

This day will take about 10-12 hours, so it is fair to say that this is quite an exhausting day.
